hi all these mods im new to this sorry it says package.info and sometimes install xml
when i add them there are other package.info's and install.xml so how do i get around this

I suppose you wanted Hacks to just drop what he was doing and run over here and help you ! He's a one man show who does this all to help, not to be blasted because he didn't reply to your post which is less then 24 hours old !

As to your question, if your adding them via the package manager then you don't need to worry about them as it will be handled internally.

Most mods only install to the default theme.

For many mods you install, you will have to do the theme edits to your custom theme manually.

Manual installation of mods.

That gives you a basic overlay of how manually installing mods works...

Then use SMF Package Parser:
http://www.smfhacks.com/smf-package-parser.html

Upload a mod to that, select 'theme edits' and make the necessary edits to your theme as indicated by the parser.
