SMF Classifieds Preview
Brief listing of the major features that Classifieds modification currently has

Current Feature Set:
Categories/sub categories.
Paid Listings
Auction style listings.
Buy it now listings
PayPal IPN integration for paid listings.
Can integrate with SMF Trader for user ratings.


Category level settings for the following:
Set the cost of listings. Can be set to zero for free listings.
Time for listing to expire. Can be set to zero for unlimited.
Can have auction listings.
Private bids - whether private bids
Allow comments - allow comments on the listing
Listings require approval - a setting to decide if the listings need approval
Custom fields can be defined for listings and will appear on the listings page.
Custom fields can have a default value and can be set as required or not.

Auctions
Auctions can have a reserve price, starting bid, and a buy it now price.
Auction owner can accept or reject bids and see the private bid owner.

Auctions and listings
Can have pictures and images to the listing
Keywords to find listings


Other features.
Receive a pm when you are outbid on a listing, if listing is approved, if bid is rejected, or if the bid is accepted.
Searching of listings by keyword, category, description, title

Permissions:
View Classifieds     
Bid on Listing    
Add Listing    
Add Comments    
Edit own Comment    
Auto Approve Comments    
Admin Classifieds

Classifieds Owner
Has transaction log can view who paid for listings and upgrades.
Downloadable transaction logs
Can approve listings
Can approve comments

Settings:
To control the number of listings per page
Thumbnail height and width control
Category display settings
Main page settings to show which listing blocks to display such as recent, viewed, commented

Upgrades in the works
To extend listing date

Looking good...
1.  Will admin be able to limit the number of pictures a user can post??  A neat feature would be to allow a user to post one or two pictures as a free listing.  If they want to attach more picture (lets say 3 to 10) then they would have to pay fo the liting.  Similarly... if someone was listing a big ticket item (realestate), I could adjust the settings in the "realestate" category to make those listings paid listings.

2.  The listing has titles (posted by, number of bids, current price, etc...)  Will I be able to remove some of those?  Change their titles/headings?

3.  Clarification....  Will I be able to set admin options so listings are automatically approved?

4.  Clarification...  Can categories have subcategories with listings only in the subcategories??

5.  just a thought (cause I am begging the option to also be added for the gallery)... allow the option for user to ad a youtube video clip

1. Just added a category level feature to limit the number of pictures per listing in a category. Will add a feature to upgrade your listing to more picture space.


2. Yes you willl be able to change settiings on category/listing display

3. Right now it it is a category level permission. You can decide wether you want a category to require listing approval or not.

4. Yes works the same as the Gallery/Store mod.

5. One day for the gallery mod.

One other thing... is it possible to have thumbnails of the additional pictures in the listing??  Right now it reads:  View more pictures.  It it possible to have the additional picture show as smaller thumbnails instead of "View more pictures".

Does that make sense??

Possibly clitches:
1)  When I click on the user name of who posted the ad, I don't get any user information??

2)  I bid on something.  The bid was rejected and now I can't rebid or bid on other items?

Tnx for mod, I've been looking for classifiedes for a long time, so now when I can integrate it with community, it is more than I wanted.

Here are some questions, sorry if they are stupid or whatever 

1. Can admin add/remove category, for example, if I don't want this hierarchy (free, paid), but dunno - mobile phones, cars, houses, ect...

2. On category page (eg. http://www.smfhacks.com/storedemo/index.php?action=classifieds;cat=1)  when you put a picture it brakes title (old socks on eg. listed above, old is before and socks after the picture). Can it be made so that picture is on top or under the title of listing.

3. Can this mod be translated in croatian language

4. Can you add some more curency:

Title: Bosnian Konvertibilna marka - short "KM", like 1.000KM

I look forward to using this mod. I would like to have the technician and shop owners post old stock or just hard to find parts for sale and I would like for reg. members to be able to post a "wanted" add in the classifieds for hard to find parts they are looking for.

Dealers could then check the wanted section of the classifieds to see what others are looking for that they maybe have but did not list for sale yet.
