On the store...

I have had several people help me out by placing fake orders and on items I have shipping set with the shipping will add up in the cart on the forum but once the customers goto Paypal to pay the shipping is no longer showing up in the payment.

Need a link to your store with the items that you adding to the cart.
The shipping should be passed to PayPal if it is not then this causes the total not to add up and make it not a valid transaction which would cause it not to appear for the user or in your transaction logs.

Is this a normal paypal account or a business account? Kind of strange that it is not taking the shipping money. Do you have shipping settings set in your PayPal profile?

Read a little more into it
[qoute]
The cost of shipping this item if you have enabled item-specific shipping costs. If shipping is used and shipping2 is not defined, this flat amount is charged regardless of the quantity of items purchased.

Note: The shipping variable takes effect only if the override checkbox is checked in your Profile. See Overriding Shipping Calculations on Individual Transactions.

Default: if Profile-based shipping is enabled, buyers are charged an amount according to the shipping methods they choose.

Might be a PayPal bug currently Sad
http://www.paypaldeveloper.com/pdn/board/message?board.id=basicpayments&message.id=11428

And also try this

https://www.paypal.com/en_US/ebook/PP_WebsitePaymentsStandard_IntegrationGuide/ProfileAndTools.html#1270716

If all else fails just remove the shipping for the item and add it to the item cost.

I'm having a problem with this as well. It was my first order, SMF carried the shipping charge, but PayPal did not. I checked the PP shipping setting and I have no pref. set.

I also get this error when trying to complete an order...
"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 1' at line 4
File: /home/j3cub/public_html/smf/Sources/Store.php
Line: 3642"

What does the shipping say when you are checking out at paypal?

Also what is the status of the order in the transactions log.

I'm not sure, I just had my first customer checkout. All if the item charges were correct and SMF store charged the shipping, but some where between SMF Store and PayPal the shipping got dropped.

I see an "IPN amount change" under some of the transactions. (See attached screenshot)

For the IPN amount change check your email for any of the messages.

If you have any custom paypal settings such a custom tax setting or custom shipping settings disable them if that is not possible you can disable the security check.
Go under Admin -> Store -> Payment Modules

Under paypal find
"Disable IPN price check security  "
Check and save that option

This will then allows items to be processed without the IPN change issue.

I looked under PayPal/Profile/IPN but I do not see and option to disable the price check. (See attached screenshot)

Below is an email I received, any help?...
