You need to select a category

One of my members is trying to batch upload some pictures to his Member Gallery but he keeps getting an error saying "You need to select a category". Obviously the only way to do the batch upload is while your in a category so this error makes so sense. Anybody have an ideas?

UPDATE: I had the guy send me the pics and I uploaded them via FTP and did the batch ftp add and it worked fine.
