Hello. I'm just started using SMF links on http://freegames.ind.in . One of my link exchange partners has expressed concern over the link, as the link appears as http://freegames.ind.in/index.php?action=links;sa=visit;id=xx . Wanted to know if anybody can throw some light whether this kind of a link would be interpreted differently by search engines than a direct link, because codewise there is no link to the link partner. Also, if there is a way to make the link appear direct..Many thanks

Hier,

where can a user (guest) of your forum
get such a link format from ?
Where does it appear ?

Do please publish an example of the real link
to any of your forum post
which includes the id number only.

Or i have missed something..

Thanks for reply. Visit 'Links' from the menu on my site, then select a category (say wedding), then hover mouse on the link, and read the link. Though on clicking, the link opens the partner site, the link reads differently. Thanks

I installed it from the SMF mod site

So, SMFHacks is the same person as vbgamer45 at simplemachines.org
and SMF For Free at smfforfree.com ?

Why have you ignored his support topic
http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,46.0.html ?

Unfortunately i am not in touch with him.
I am banned from smfforfree.com as well as from simplemachines.org .

Should say that i do not understand the destination of SMF Links mod.

I replied just because suspected that your question
may lead to modification of the post link format
without topic id in the link.

The posts once created should have been identified
by the links with message id only

to be indifferent to splitting and merging them.

If anybody is concerned with such modification
then let me know in your gritoadmix at my forum.

Thank you.

I don't get it. This has nothing to do with topics and posting in topic. I posted here as the mod had a link to this site. Anyway, will post it in the SMF mod support thread. Thanks
