The categories list the total images. However I would like this number to reflect the number of images in subcategories as well.

For example i have my gallery set up

Main category Total images 5
   sub category total images 40
   sub category total images 23

Main category total images 0
   sub category total images 20
   sub category total images 10

You see many people will see the total images of category 2 as being zero and never open it to see the sub category. However if it was to include the images in the subcategories as well it would show 30 and then you opened that you would see the subcategories showing 20 and 10

I am using gallery Pro

so if I am missing an option for this please let me know

There is an option called "Counts child categories picture totals." which will count for one sub level deep categories on the parent category

I'd really like an option to count several levels deep, as it is, one of my clients has a gallery with two sub leverls, where all the images are in the deepest level. That means that all you see is a big fat zero next to the top level name, even when there are hundreds of images inside.

What really sucks is that it makes people turn away without looking inside.

You could at least give us an option to choose the number of levels to search for images.

It could be done just would use some more queries might add an advanced option to allow unlimited subcategories counting but there would be a big performance warning.

Same here and it is also requested by users.. Dont know why but users tend to  put their pictures to deepest level and at the end they get 0s (zeros) for their total number of items..
