When I click the Download link for the mods (from the mod site) I get an error saying:

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

I have also tried downloading the file to my computer, then uploading it but I get the same message.

Any help?

Thanks

Any at all???

Specifically I am using 1.1.4.  Am I safe to assume that none of the mods work with the version I'm using?  I am about to build a large site and would like to build it around SMF utilizing some of the fantastic mods I've read about.

Is there any other way to install new mods? Manually?

Yes you can upload a mod to the package parser
http://www.smfhacks.com/smf-package-parser.html
It tells you what files to edit.
