Author Topic: How to generalize this hack to support other files than images/pictures  (Read 4769 times)

The subject says it all.  I like this a lot, but need to be able to share things other than images and pictures (zip files, doc files, etc).  Is it possible to modify this to do so, and if so, how?

One place can help ya out with that, its called Tinyportal by Bloc. The download manager that is included in that Mod. should handle those files for ya.

Gallery means just that, a gallery.

Yeah, the gallery would take a lot of modifications to support all files.

Thanks.  I'll look at TinyPortal.

I'm not sure if it is over kill.  I've looked at the gallery lite code, and have already been able to modify it to allow me to upload different kinds of files.  If I continue with this, would you be interested in seeing a final result, where instead of just being a gallery, it would be a "Gallery & Files" ?
