Hi,

Great mod first of all Cheesy

Secondly I would like to make a few suggestions which could either be part of the Lite or Pro version - suggestions all the same Smiley

1. Popup image
When the user clicks on an image it popup in a small resized window so that users can stay on the gallery index while being able to view images.

An optional and cooler alternative could also be using the 'lightbox' addon which is available from DynamicDrive for free here

2. Zipped Downloads
Users are able to mark images as being "added to cart" and then be able to download them all together as a zip file

3. Batch Upload
Admin would have the ability to batch upload images via FTP to a folder and specify the path and gallery would automatically form the thumbnails and resize them accordingly

4. User galleries
An option for the admin to either enable or disable the user image galleries. If enabled then the images uploaded by a specific member are ALSO indexed on a personal gallery page of theirs APART from being added to the main galleries (if they choose to do so)

When the option is off the gallery simply adds the images to the main galleries created by the admin and no "user personal gallery" index page is created.

Hope you like these suggestions.
Looking forward eagerly to your next release.

1. Is this in the main view image page? Like are they seeming a smaller resized image? Then click to see a bigger one?

2. Is a little complex. Main thing would be worrying about the server resources since it could be compressing many many pictures to download.

3. Pro edition supports batch uploads 10 at a time and also has import by folder located on the server which you could use FTP to transfer all your files into a folder then import them.

4. Have added user galleries to SMF Gallery Pro 1.1. Basicly they get their own mini gallery to use. They can add, edit, remove categories in their personal gallery. Images that are uploaded to their personal gallery are only found in their gallery.

SMF Gallery Pro 1.1 is going out shortly with some new features heh.

cool Cheesy

Yes #1 is click to see bigger image. The reason I mentioned the lightbox viewer as well is because I think it would be simple enough to incorporate into the gallery (I was reading the code with my limited knowledge earlier)

And also one final suggestion:

E-mail this pic option
A user can click the email this pic link and can input a few details such as:
- Senders name
- Senders Email
- Recievers Name
- Recievers Email
- Message
And then click to send the image to a person.

I currently have this option in the mkportal gallery I use and people simply love it and use it a lot especially since my mkportal gallery has about 900 images in it already.

I am going to switch over to SMF-Gallery now, should take a long time lol but I really hope this feature can be incorporated in as well since it greatly enhances the finction of a gallery from being just a gallery to also being an e-card site Smiley

A couple of suggestions to add while the are fresh on my mind...

1. have the 'Return to Gallery' link on the top under the category heading instead of on the bottom. ( apply when viewing category thumbnails)

2. If you are viewing one image in a category, below the 'return to gallery' link(which just takes you back to the gallery 'home' now) add a 'return to category' and add a 'previous' and 'next' on either side of it, so viewers can flip through the images/info/comments one at a time in large view

3. In the file info, the option to link to their profile, and website if they have one

I know the name of the person who submitted the picture is linked to their profile, but in certain cases, where the admin chooses to be the only one to add pictures to certain categories, it would help to have 'suggestion 3' available where they could input the appropriate info relating to who/what is in the pic...

in my case... its local musicians and artists

TIA

Tell me how clip share works heh. The only thing I did not like about it was how it many extra things you had to install as well.
