Hey Hacks,

Is there a way to modify the thumbnail size?

Mine are massive and pretty much make navigating the board a visual mess.

If I could get the thumbs down to 100x100 maybe I think this mod would look really slick.

On a different note. I also saw a phpbb mod that shows thumb previews at the top of the page above the main boads listing. It was pretty sexy sweet. Take a look here to see what i mean. If you click the thumb it takes you to the topic.

I would love to do something like that as well (like you aren't busy enough)  Tongue

I believe it uses the thumbnail settings that you have under attachments and avatars.

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted. I was skimming through the code and realized that you weren't actually making any thumbs. Which makes sense.

Did you check out that link by chance?

PS, i am twiddling my thumbs for the downloads mod man. Can't wait to get my grubby paws on it. I would be using it already but it doesnt support pics and thumbs. Once it does sign me up! That has been my biggest problem with TP Downloads. No preview thumbs. It's brutal when your site is all digital content and people would like to see what it is without clicking on each and every single item to see the larger photo cause there's no thumb preview. The idea of search is very nice too.. Pretty much Gallery Pro with an attached download! Can't wait man!

Could this code be adapted to pull thumbnails for use with ssi_boardNews()?

I can only get these images to show up in the default SMF theme.  How do I get them to show in other themes?

You have to modify the messageindex.template.php of the other themes.

Vb,

Thanks again for this mod. It's running great on my main forum.  I have installed a 2nd forum and im having a bit of an issue.  Is it possible for this mod to cause the issue below? if so, how would i fix this?

Im running 1.1.6

fresh copy of SMF

Im using RRR theme
(issues also happens with SMF default them)

only 1 mod installed (Thumbnail on topic)
 (manually installed and working)

The problem:

Im missing the "started by" user name for posts.  See image (pictures worth 1000 words) Smiley

This error did not exist before i installed the mod, so this leads me to believe that it could be the mod causing this.  Is this possible?

Is there a simple fix for this?

I have this in my forum error log. Not sure if it helps:

Haven't seen that occur before. Umm where there any errors when installing the mod? Does uninstalling the mod fix the issue?

Thanks for the reply.

I installed it manually, so im not sure if there were any errors.

Ok, i've uninstalled it and the prob still exists.  Even after i uninstalled and and went to the default theme the user names are still not showing up.  I guess it wasnt  your mod after all.

Something went wacky.

thanks.  I'll probably just reinstall SMF since i havent really went live with the forum yet.

How can I add this to SSI.php under function ssi_recentTopics or some other functions in SSI so I can use it in a block.

Thanks.

Hi, this is my first message here as I encounter a problem installing this mod.
I did several tests and as soon as the mod is installed (no warning), when I browse a section page, I get this message, whatever the theme is (even default SMF theme) :

Not unique table/alias: 'big'
Fichier: /mypath/Sources/MessageIndex.php
Ligne: 484

The note means that the database should be upgraded but I installed this forum recently and just did the last upgrade from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 ??

Any advice will be appreciated as this is a really required feature by my members Wink
