If I wanted to start fresh with a clean install of my forum but still use my old database, how would I go about doing this?

The reason I am wanting to do this is because some of the mods I currently have will not allow me to install TinyPortal.

So I am wanting to start over brand new with RC2 and then install TP first thing.

I do not want to lose any user data however.

Thanks for the help.

I would first back all your files.

Then simply upload SMF 1.1 RC2 over your old files except settings.php which contains the database login information.

So settings.php is all I would need to keep?

And that would allow all the posts and user info to be transferred to the fresh install?
