Thank you. I appreciate it -- let me know if you need to get in to poke around on my server. We can work something out via private messages if need be.

Okay, so I switched themes so that it was default, and I went back and tried everything again ... it comes to this URL:

DOMAIN/forums/index.php?action=gallery;sa=import2

And it's blank. I hit the address bar and press return, thus reloading the page, and it says "An Error Has Occurred! You need to select a category."

So, I modify the URL to read:

DOMAIN/forums/index.php?action=gallery;sa=import2;cat=6 (which is the cat ID in question)

And I get the same squawking about not having a category selected (see just above).

And, again, with each of those attempts, it seems to have placed an image in the gallery folder with an encrypted name, each a dupe of the first image in the /import directory, although none of these actually show up as being a part of the gallery when I view it from the forums.

I haven't had any issue with the bulk uploading feature as  the author describes. It works perfectly except for one issue.

The import folder is not writeable or accessible. I had to make another folder which I named "iimportacion" to upload the photos from my HD into before importing them.

You receving the filename brings to mind something that has occurred with me though in reverse. There is a mod out there that allegedly prevents theft or no right click downloading of your images from the gallery. It is a crap mod that doesn't work for me but what it does do is download the images as index.php which causes one to have to rename each photo downloaded. Do you have this mod installed?  Not sure that one is the same as the other.

Finally, as a feature request, I would like to see the BULK UPLOAD option extended to members galleries. My members are some lazy bastards which tons of photos they would like to share but too damn lazy to upload them one at a time and I don't want to give the FTP accesss.

I did come across a javacompenent which will allow uploading an entire folder from your hard drive. Instead of choosing each file. I am going to see if I can intergrate that. But not sure if it will solve the problem, I think it is the script timing out but we will see how it works and gives me something to work on.

Also max.411 don't forget to upgrade your account to get access to more forums.

I will start a topic for feature requests in the members forum for 1.2

I don't have any mods installed at all, as far as I know ... I had Gallery Lite installed, and then I removed it and installed Pro.

Check this out -- I deleted the package and tried to reinstall and now I get this weird error:

1.     Execute Modification     smfgallery.xml     Modification parse error
2.    Execute Modification    -    Modification parse error

So, I did a fresh upgrade on my forums, and tried again ... same error. Would that have been enough to have corrected it normally, or do I need to do a full fresh install of SMF?

Thanks, mate. That's above and beyond, for sure. Good looking out.

How did that turn out? Same problems over here, but that's expected.
