The ability to have one photo in 2 different categories.  I have pictures of a hockey game and would like to post some pictures in both teams album but right now I have to have 2 of the same image on my site.  There should be a way to be able to do this, which I assume would need to create another table like smf_gallery_pic_dup table that would hold only what you would need to change.  So the ID_PICTURE would correlate to the pictures ID in the smf_gallery_pic table but would have an alternate description, title, user.  This way users could add other peopel pictures to there gallery if they want to.

On the same thought, this would allow you to use the same picture in the main gallery and user galleries without having 2 copies on the server.  Seems doable.  Anyone want ot take a stab at it?

I would love to have photos from users galleries also viewable in main galleries so that they could just put one copy in their user gallery and then have the other appear in the appropriate main gallery.

I fully Agree that the Gallery needs to allow multiple categories for a single photo.  If this isn't available soon, I'll have to figure out how to code it myself.

We could look into adding it to future releases.
Some things that make a little more difficult.
Picture totals maybe off since a picture could be in more than one category.
If you delete a picture in one category it would delete the picture in the other category
Handling category level permissions for pictures also posted in other categories.

I would fully support implementing. My site would love to be able to have an image in the user gallery and then add it to a public gallery for viewing.

Good Chance. I would get any requests in or ideas so I know what to work on. I go by the feature requests board.

I hadn't seen this in 2.5 yet... Still a possibility?
