I am uninstalling Gallery Lite for the Pro Upgrade in 1.1.7 and am getting the following:

Quote
!!Error in Package Installation

At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.
Uninstall Actions
Uninstall Actions "SMF Gallery Lite":
Installing this package will perform the following actions:  Type Action Description
1. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php Test failed
2. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english-utf8.php Skipping file

4. Execute Modification ./index.php Test successful
5. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/index.template.php Test failed

You can you probably only need to fix two files afterword index.template.php may have a duplicate button in the header.

And the managepermissions might need an edit to show the new permissions from pro.

Ok... just to clarify:

Are saying to install Pro over Lite?

Or proceed with the uninstall despite the warnings and then install Pro?

Ok...  I may have you come over and take a peak after the install process to make sure it is all good...

Is that possible?

That's ok. Mostly like you will need to attach your Sources/ManagePermissions.php
To fix a permission issue.

Also upgrade to customer group
http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php?action=license

So you have actually to customer forums and downloads

Cool...  I will likely try to do it this weekend...

One other question:  What will become of the pictures in the current Lite version of the gallery?

Ok installed...  Now the category permissions does not have any options...  Next step?

I only see 8 permissions...  I read there are supposed to be 13??

Disregard: deleted 8 permissions from the Lite version which was still in ManagePermissions.php.

The 13 permissions then showed up.

I found that info on the Pro Forum.

Last Issue:

Under Admin==>Gallery Configuration==>Category Permission==>Category Permission List

There is nothing listed.  Should there be some information here?

Please advise.

Thanks.

I'm running Lite on 2.0RC1 and have just purchased Pro-version as facility to order images by Title is a real must for an application I'd like to use it for.

As above, I'd like to follow the correct process and get a clean upgrade without disrupting members or existing files. On uninstall of Lite I get following:

Installing this package will perform the following actions:   Type Action Description
 1. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php Test successful
  1. Add Before ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php Test successful

 2. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english-utf8.php Skipping file
 3. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Who.english.php Test successful
  1. Add Before ./Themes/default/languages/Who.english.php Test successful

 4. Execute Modification ./index.php Test successful
  1. Replace ./index.php Test successful

 5. Execute Modification ./Sources/Admin.php Test failed
  1. Replace ./Sources/Admin.php Test failed

 6. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs.php Test failed
  1. Replace ./Sources/Subs.php Test failed
  2. Replace ./Sources/Subs.php Test failed

 7. Execute Modification ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php Test failed
  1. Replace ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php Test failed
  2. Replace ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php Test failed

 8. Execute Modification ./Sources/PrettyUrls-Filters.php Skipping file
 9. Delete File ./Sources/Gallery2.php
 10. Delete File ./Themes/default/Gallery2.template.php
 11. Delete File ./Themes/default/languages/Gallery.english.php
 12. Extract File ./Themes/default/languages/Gallery.english-utf8.php
 13. Execute Code GalleryUnInstall.php

Am I best advised to:

1) Allow the uninstall to run and then make manual code changes to uninstall in the failed php files before installing Pro?
2) Allow the uninstall to run and ignore the failed errors, then install Pro over the top?
3) Just install Pro straight over the top of Lite?

I assume 1) would be safest but your guidance would be useful as on upgrade from 2.0b4 to RC1 the Lite mod ended up installed twice and caused major grief correcting!

Thanks

Peter

Scratch the post above. I went for the first option and everything was absolutely great.

The Sources/admin, Sources/managepermissions and Sources/subs.php all failed to uninstall (in my case) as the insertion points for the original code are the same as for SMF Articles mod.  I deleted the Gallery Lite code manually and installation of pro worked straight out of the box.

You have the same issue with the Pro version as you do in Lite re SMF 2.0RC1. The new software release uses a different Admin setup with drop down menus and whilst everything works, the dropdowns have an icon set by the line:

'icon' => '',

This results in a missing image on the Configurations menu dropdown for the Gallery Configuration and needs replacing with

'icon' => 'server.gif',

Other than that absolutely first class!  Great mod, worth the upgrade fee.

Yeah need to add a default icon. Wish SMF 2.0 just left it blank if one was not included. I still use the old smf 1.1.x admin view myself.
