Installations actions for "SMF Trader System":
Installing this package will perform the following actions:
   Type    Action    Description
1.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php    Test successful
2.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/Profile.template.php    Test successful
3.    Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/Display.template.php    Test failed
4.    Execute Modification    ./index.php    Test successful
5.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php    Test successful
6.    Extract File    ./Sources/Trader.php
7.    Extract File    ./Themes/default/trader.template.php
8.    Execute Code    smftraderinstall.php

How can I install it? Can I manually edit that file? If so, what do I change?

Are you using the defalut theme? And do you have other mods installed?
Yes you can intall manually by following information in package-info.xml and copy the files over that need to be.
And to apply the mod edits you would need to open smftrader.xml

Yes I have other mods installed and only using the default theme right now.

Should I install the package even though I'm getting that error and then just modfy the display.template.php file manually, OR should I manually edit all files?

I would install the package and just edit the display.template.php.
The only thing that is added to display.template.php is the number of trades a user has made under their name.
