Hello,

I just subscribed for the SMF store, but I;m already getting frustrated. 99% of my products-to-be are self-generated codes/licenses.

My questions are:

1) How do I list products that are actually self-generated licenses? And/or how do I add self-generated licenses as products? Licenses that will be sent to the buyer's email, automatically, after their successful payments.

2) How to prevent a license from being sent out more than once, unless "a manual resend" action for that license is performed?

Thank You!

1. For each file attached to a product you have the option to include licenses codes. After the file is added click on the license codes link and import all the license codes for that product.

2. Once a license is purchased it is marked as used and will not be sent other people that purchase the product.

First, I REALLY appreciate the fast response. Smiley

Okay, other than "License Agreement" I see on the "Add File" page, I don't see any "license codes link".

After I attach file, the page only reloads to show a fresh "Add Picture" & "Add file page". Nothing new comes up.

And also, I have tested it with the help of Paypal Sand Box; when I accessed what was suppose to be the code delivery email, this was all I saw;

Quote

I clicked on the link, it took me to a page that has a blank form about adding licenses, when I type in the codes and click "Add License", the following database error is displayed:

Quote
Database Error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '0,'lopt')' at line 4
File: /misc/38/000/138/981/6/user/web/gamemasterz.org/forum/Sources/Store2.php
Line: 3455

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 2.0 RC1-1, while your database is at version 2.0RC1-1. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

EDIT: lopt was the code/license I tried adding before the error came up.

I need help with these. Something is definitely wrong somewhere.

Thanks.

Did conduct a couple test transactions using the store on SMF 2.0 and was able to receive the license code with the file after the transaction completed.

The license codes option appears after you add a file to the store. There is a license codes link below the edit/delete options
Attached a screenshot with this part hightlighted.

Once you click on the license codes page you are given a box where you can enter license codes one per line. Also on this page will list all license codes for the file and whether they have been sent/used by a member. Attached a screenshot

Okay, I have it all sorted now. But I have just 1 more problem & question:

Problem: When I try to add pictures, I get this error message:

Quote
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in /home/gamemas3/public_html/Sources/Subs-Graphics.php on line 227

Question: Must I always have to click "Complete Transaction" before the licenses will be sent out? It would have been nice & less stressful if the licenses were sent automatically after respective successful payments. Or am I missing something?

For the problem that is actually a bug with the latest SMF release read here for a fix
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=312955.0

The complete transaction should never really be used unless you want to quickly mark an order as completed instead of waiting for paypal to pass back to the store.
This should automatically be done unless there is an issue. First check that you can access http://www.yourforum.com/storeipn2.php  if you see a server error it is a permission issue on the file.

If the payment is made by e-Check the the transaction will not be completed until it is cleared which can take a couple of days.

When I accessed the /storeipn2.php page, I saw this:

Quote
Array ( [_php] => [start] => 0 ) Verified

Does that mean I'm right on track?

Yes that means it is good to for file permissions. Just make sure you have IPN enabled in your PayPal profile.
