[Bionic Rooster]

I have installed smgallery lite on 2 forums. One with SMF 2.0 RC1-1 & SimplePortal 2.2.1
On this forum the Gallery button appeared no problems.

The other forum is SMF 1.1.9 with no SimplePortal 2.2.1.
The Gallery button did not appear so users have no way to access the Gallery.

Theme is Black Rain V2 on both.
The same version of SMF Gallery Lite was installed on both.
Any ideas why it would appear on one and not the other and how this can be fixed?

For custom themes in smf 1.1.x an edit to the index.template.php needs to be done to show the gallery link. If the theme requires a button a gallery button image will need to be created

OK, that tells me what needs to be done, but not how. I'm a newbie at all this and search hasn't revealed any relevent discussions on how to do it or exactly where to do it.
It's a mute point for me now as I have spent the better part of the day nuking everything and starting fresh with a SMF version your Gallery program works with without all the extra coding needed.
