inventory by option

forgive me if this is already covered

i'm working on my 3rd store

this one will be used for selling items like T-Shirts and such

my question is, is there any way to set inventory counts for the different options (i want to limit orders to items in stock)

example if i have a product called T-Shirt and it is available in large, x-large, xx-large and also option for black, white, and red

say i have 20 x-large, blacks - 10 of most others - and say 5 of large red

i have a total of say 100 shirts

how do i control inventory so that i don't get orders for 100 large red t-shirts?

That is something I am still working on. Adding inventory control based on options added to an item and different prices for an item based on upgrade.
