SQL Error when sending NewsLetter
«
on:
July 14, 2009, 11:11:13 pm »
I'm getting this:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'EMAIL'),('3','EMAIL'),('3','EMAIL'),' at line 3
File: /home/ACCOUNT/public_html/Sources/ManageNews.php
Line: 531
....email addresses replaced with 'EMAIL'
When Sending a newsletter,
Sending out to 5400+ members, the script gets down to 30% or somewhere in there- had to get some pop while it was cooking & came back to this error.
Running SMF 1.1.9

Hmm, what options did you select when creating the newsletter? What groups did you send to do? Did you copy and paste a list into the texbox?
If it was not copied and paste can you attempt to resend to the exact same people but do NOT send.
Just copy the emails to a text file and save it. Then try to search for "EMAIL" inside that text file and see if you can find it.

Selected all Groups,
Did not copy and paste a list into the textbox.- The Script did that for me,
When I posted the error message onto this forum I removed the email addresses and replaced them with 'EMAIL' to protect my users (or at least two) ... No where in all the email addresses (text box) is there the text 'EMAIL'
The server is running a very new version of MySQL 5 something... issue?
Any thoughts?

Yup that was it. the ' mesesed it up.
What you could do to send the rest is grab all the emails after the ones that were sent and send the newsletter out to those.
I am working on newslette pro 2.0 which should released after I finish the last updates for the gallery.
