A mod I'm interested in being developed in the future is to integrate an auction system into the SMF forum (something set up like eBay but integrated with the accounts of a SMF forum). Is this being developed or talked about before?

SMF trader system is something like a feedback system and i believe it doesn't have the features for having an auction mod in your site.

I'm really interested in having such a mod like the phpauction. Where people can
- post their own items
- starting bid amount
- buy now amount
- end date of bidding

it would be best if you can have to categories... 1 is the Items for Sale/Auction category and the Looking For Items category... well, I'm no programmer and am such a "noob" with smf as well. I just hope someone could at least create a mod something or similar to phpauction  Smiley

Yea I too was thinking about PHP Auction, and maybe their could be some kind of bridge connection or something (something similar to the Joomla-SMF bridge), but integrated into the SMF forum. I guess though an auction mod hasn't been worked on yet for SMF.

I'm running PhotoPost Classifieds (not free) and it works for me... It integrates into the user DB, but other than that you will have to work on templates and integrating it into your site.
