I am not sure this is the right area.

I just got the downloads and this is a great mod. look to be updateing to the pro when I fig out what I am doing.

Question I have is.  how large of an upload will it take? file size. I have maxed it in admin area. just stick in 999999999 to the max.  I have also moded the Php.ini file when I got the video ad on from 2 meg to 300 meg.

but when I tried to upload a 43 MB file with downloads and it stops and says to add a file.   I used an FTP to upload the file to a folder i use for other items for now but would like to know if this can be fixed so other members can upload large files.

It is all based upon the webserver and php limits of your site.

Information on increasing the limits. Also check out your webserver time out limits that also plays a role.

Generally I would say no more than 100mb for a form based upload on a site.
