Hello,

I have a question about the Optout clicks.

To send our newsletter we don't use a list, only the members from the forum (Use saved List is empty). So, we add a new message and uses this for the newsletter. After sending this newsletter a few members (sadly hehe) clicked on unsubscribe.

What happened the next time when we send our newsletter. Will these members being ignored from sending the newsletter to them? Or does this only work when we use a list for sending the newsletter?

I hope you understand my question. Sorry for my bad English

Thanks in advance,

Vincent

If they click on unsubscribe they need to then confirm they are opting out by clicking on the submit button.
Once a user has opted out of a newsletter they are placed into the unsubscribe list and they will not receive any future newsletters.

Taking this enquiry a little further, when I sent my first newsletter to the forum members (not a list), this then created a new list and again a few members opted out.

1. If I send to the forum members again, I assume it will not be sent to those on the opt-out list ?

2. Can I safely delete the last created list ? I have seen the warning after clicking delete about links not working.

1. That is correct once they are optedout they will not receive any mailings

2. You can generally I would wait about a week or two after mailing to make sure everyone that got it would have clicked on the links by then.
