Is there support for other merchants other than Paypal?
If not, is there a guesstimate on if or when this will happen?

No support for other merchants at this time. Would be a long ways away. What merchants were you looking for?

In order to integrate they would need to have an api i don't see one for that.

Yes but it really is not my focus for now. I rather have paypal just work for now otherwise it would be hard to support many different payment systems.
