I've done some searching and found a few posts from 2007 and one from 2009 mentioning that this might be an option included soon?

My store is selling shirts.  We are looking for a way to monitor the stock of each size without having to enter each one as it's own item.  Is there a way to include this in the next update?

This something I want to do just have to make a clean interface for it.
Gets a little tricky if you have multiple custom fields but want both options to be counted as one item
Lets say if you had colors red blue green, and sizes small, medium, large it would need to keep track for those combinanations

Would it be easier to to with only one set of custom fields?  Like for sizing only?

Ok think I have this almost how I want should have the first edition of support out later today.
Notes: the Sum of all the select option fields equals the qty of the custom field
So lets say you have a custom field called color which is a select and want to limit qty's. You would first check needs stock of the custom field.
Then for each option such as red, green, blue.
You would enter the qty of each item that you have. and that equals the total qty for that custom field.

The size features work great!  Thank you again.  We just started selling t-shirts and it's working just as we needed.

One question I had for the next update, would it be possible for 2 things?

1) on the transaction list of ALL orders, show orders that were marked as shipped in a separate column?

2) on the order detail screen, show the user's forum screen name?
