1. Currently the images are stored in the gallery folder, as are the thumbnails. Could I get some support on moving the thumbnails to a different directory so I can make a tinyportal image block to display latest images without having a copy of each image right beside each other?

2. I'm in the process of updating the user profiles to show images they've submitted to the gallery by default, somewhat like a portfolio, and as such, I would like each category to be personalized to each user, so, if Username signs up and uploads a picture, then a category called Username's Gallery is automatically created.

I'd really like to do this as I've been working on my site for quite a while and I'm like, broke... the sooner I get it up the sooner I can professionalize it by upgrading to smf gallery pro once i make some profit Tongue

Thank you very much

1. I don't this would be needed for what you are doing. There is a couple of Gallery blocks I remember seeing on the tinyportal.net website so you do not have to code a new one one.

2.  Somewhat a feature of SMF Gallery Pro which has an option for a person to create their own gallery with categories and upload images to their gallery.

Thank you very much for the reply. I have spent a few days searching for blocks over at tinyportal but the only instances I have found of gallery blocks pertained to aeva media and talk about a future? gallery feature that comes standard with tinyportal. However I will have another look. I did post a topic there and no one has mentioned any previous blocks.

and for the second issue I just want to automate the category system, that's all. No subcategories or anything like that that smf gallery pro offers...

edit: I found a particular block for smf 1.1.11 i'll port it over to 2.0rc3 and see if i can work with it from there. And scratch it, I'll just cope for now until I can afford the upgrade.
