Morning guys,

Just had a look at the Newsletter Pro package and was most impressed.  Unfortunately, having purchased and tried it out on myself I'm getting an error when I run the CRON job to publish my first newsletter:

Code:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''\' AND ID_LETTER = 2' at line 2
File: *********************/htdocs/PLPMG/SMF/Sources/ManageNews.php
Line: 813

Running SMF 1.1.9 and version 2.0.5 of the Newsletter Pro mod.

Can you help?

Cheers.

It looks like a bad link inside the message that was created. It appears that link was just \ which is causing the escaping to fail.

If you can find the error can you repost the exact message you are trying to send.

Hi, SMFHacks.

I've taken out the only link on the page

mailto:house17doors@photos.flickr.com?cc=chris@pixelstate.com

and the letter is now working, so you're quite right, it's the link that's causing the pain.  Smiley  Thanks for that.

There's nothing essentially wrong with the link URL though, it is correctly formatted.  I'll have to see if I can get the letter to read off the info some other way.

Cheers

Posted an update to Newsletter Pro that should fix that issue
http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,2407.0.html

Uninstall old version and install new update to fix the issue.

Thanks for the super swift response.

The URL on your last post isn't working for me though...

Ha!

Working for me now.  Many thanks.  You guys are stars.  Grin

The message is being posted now, but not all of the e-mails are being sent.  Only a reported 494 out of a list of 1159.  I'll post this on a separate thread.
