stop spammer works brilliantly, you'll find it in the od section on smf.  I catch them all before they can get on.  It connects to stop forum spam and checks emails, usernames and ip's on the system for reported spammers.  I haven't had any spam from these guys since isntalling it and I wouldn't be without it

I saw smfhacks.com use this idea, but I don't know which hack is this...

best solution for spamers is needing post to edit profile, and config your smf to delete after 30 days all non-using profiles.

i installed stop spammer, then enabled it, problem is no one can register? what did i do wrong? seem to install cleanly

very clean install, thats why its weird it stops ppl from registering, anyway ill see if i checked something i shouldnt have.
