I have a few levels of child categories in some areas of my store.

The total products from the child categories don't add up to the store front page on those with the higher levels of child categories. Is there a way to make the total product quantities add up on the store front page?

Counts Child Categories is ticked (on)

Are you checking additional categories for products?

I knew I could do that but don't want the products to actually show in those parent categories. Also by putting a product into a child category as well as the parent category, the product count gets counted twice.
