hello

Will this feature will be available in the next versions ?

I mean , you upload pictures in the gallery and then go to the forum and attach the pictures you want in a thread like VBulletin

many thanks

You mean upload pictures via attachments in a thread? My question is what category what the attachments go to.

hi

You upload a picture in the gallery

and then in the smf forum
when you want to create or reply to a thread
you've got a "my pics" link in the additionnal options panel that open a window with all the pictures in your gallery
you choose the pics you want and the picture is included in the message

Hihih I'm the one Smiley

Yes, that would definitely be the best option for Gallery Pro. Many users have asked for that feature. Else they are obliged to post their pics twice : for the gallery and for the posts. For some forums (like ours), heavily needing pictures attachment, that's a problem, members are less motivated to maintain either the gallery or post pictures attachments...

Thanks,
SillyCone.

I know this is an old thread, but it doesn't seem to have been included in the features yet. (If it is, I haven't found how to change the right settings)

It would be nice if you could just upload one (or more, maybe up to five?) pictures to your personal gallery directly when posting in a thread. Members of my board are still using attachments because they can't find their way to the gallery to upload the pic before writing the post.

Couple questions would need to be answered.

Uploading pictures currently requires a category so the user would need to have a user gallery category created before hand.

A selectbox for gallery category on the posting form would need to be added and maybe settings to control what boards it would be shown on. Possible two one for the main categories/one for personal galleries.

Is it just to copy pictures to the personal gallery or can be for the main gallery categories as well.

Handling of errors if image is greater than allowed limits, exceed file quota size.

Title of the picture will take on the item filename or a custom title to be set?

If the category they are allowed to has custom fields those would need to be added as well for each picture that is being uploaded.
