Greetings,

I am very new here, and have done my best to try and find my own answers but couldn't.

I was wondering about a few things with the Pro version, before I go ahead and buy it.

I am running the latest version of the SMF forums, and was always using an integration tool to integrate the SMF forums with Gallery2.

Well, I recently stumbled upon this Gallery feature, and love how it appears to more "one" with the existing forums, by using it's themes and what-not.

There are just a couple feature from the Gallery2 integration that I was wondering if this SMFGalleryPro has as well.  Whenever a new person viewed the Gallery2, it would create an Album under their name.  So that later on, when someone would clik on the gallery link, it would show the albums of the forum members.  Does SMFGalleryPro do this as well?

I tried the gallery light, and didn't like how I had to create a topic or whichever before I could upload pics.

What I am looking for, is I just want to be able to have a person click on gallery, create an album of their own, and upload pics to it.  And not be able to upload to someone elses album.  Is this possible with the Pro version?

And am I to understand that the Pro version also coincides with the membergroups as well?  Where I can set a certain membergroup to be able to only view, and not upload, etc.

Please let me know, so I can get my $50 ready for the purchase, if Pro is right for me.

Sort of the user has the option to create their own personal gallery. By clicking the My Gallery link in the Gallery.
Then on the main Gallery page there is a User Gallery Listing Link which takes the user to a list of all personal galleries.

I tried the gallery light, and didn't like how I had to create a topic or whichever before I could upload pics.
You should not have to create a topic to upload pictures? Can you explain that a little more. All you do is create categories for the images then from each category you would upload pictures.

User's can have personal image galleries if you have that permission enabled.  The user can only upload to their own galleries. In the Lite version there is the MyImages link in the Pro it adds a My Gallery link which allows the user to create a personal gallery.

SMF Gallery contains global level permissions as well as category level permissions for pictures.

If there is anything else you have a question on let me know.

I think I was talking about the category stuff.  From looking at other peoples galleries, I think I understand more.

So, my question is now, do I have to install the lite version in order to get the pro version?  I had the lite installed, but removed it while trying to re-do the Gallery2 integration.  And if I pay my $50 now, how soon will I get my pro version?

EDIT:  Also, I have three domain names, that lead to one site, when I go to purchase the Pro, and put in the main domain of the three, will the gallery still work if others decided to visit the site through the minor domain names?

You would unsitall the lite version if installed then install the pro version.

As soon as you order the product you will be sent a link. As long as the payment is not by e-Check if its by e-check the payment will need to wait to be cleared.

As long its installed on one forum instance that is fine. Use the main domain or any of the three.

Alright, I got the Pro, and I have it installed.

My question is now, I am using the BlackRain theme that TP-crip did, and for the life of me I can't get the Gallery button to appear at the top.  When I switch the forums to default theme, it's there, but not when I am using the BlackRain theme.

Any tips?

A button will need to added to the theme. You can attach the index.template.php of the dark rain theme and I can add the button to it.

Also upgrade to the customer group via the license button on the top of the forum.

So, I have been using the SMFGallery for just over and hour, and I have already encountered a problem.  I don't know if its my fault, but here it goes.

Adding pics one at a time works, but whenever I try to add in bulk, the pics wont add.

I am admin, and checked permissions, I have bulk privileges to add photos

Any idea why I can't add in bulk?

Anything in the errorr log? What happens when you bulk upload pictures. When uploading via bulk uploads when done should give a screen that shows the pictures that were uploaded and ones that failed if they did.
