SMF Classifieds 2.0

Looking for any ideas, features, requests for next version of SMF Classifieds will be developing it over the coming weeks and any idea has a good chance of making it into the next major release.

I will be going over the feature requests board for ideas and things to add to the next release as well.

I hope you will include next:
 - manage access by category for users groups
 - notify for new comments in selected listings/auctions
 - user can add listings to bookmarks
 - user can "up" his listing (it will be under all in category) for some payment or some points (for this You will develop points system)
 - abuse system

thanks!

i hope you may revise the add listing page for classifieds [action=classifieds;sa=addlisting;cat=?]

i thinks it is much more convenient if the image upload menu is the same with the add listing page. the page where you put a note like this one: "Note: After the listing is created there is an option to add pictures"

and i hope a user can add multiple upload slot for images. say for example, when you created a category and you set it up to allow only 2 image upload, then under the add listing page, two image upload slots shall appear, and if you set it up to allow 4 image upload, then also 4 slots shall appear in the add listing page.

and for the custom fields, i hope you can add a feature so that we can also add some custom form.

like we say, a custom checkbox, custom radio-button and custom drop-down box.

and if you could make a custom drop-down box/field, we may also add/edit the contents of it. this feature i saw from drupal and phpfox.

I agree with the two suggestions from cosmicx.

I have one too: The users should be able to have their own listings available even after expiration, for viewing and for posting them again with one click. (it's annoying to have to type it again and upload photos again, to repost)

yeah... that's a fine idea.. one click button to repost a listings. furthermore, you have the option to check the listings one by one or have an option of check all, then click a button "Repost".

additionally, another button that will set your listing or listings in SOLD mode. or Item Reserved.

What about sending an automatic PM or/and email to the seller & buyer after completing a transaction asking to leave feedback?  Not immediately after, but as a reminder later.
(Some users don't know the feedback feature, or forget it)

That would need some kind of scheduled task or require active visitors to classifieds systems to run checks.

I was thinking of a scheduled task embedded in the classifieds index template, each time someone accesses the 1st page the will be a code like this: ...if the day has changed, then do a new check.
Or, there could be a button in the admin panel for manual check.

If you can provide me the SQL statement for the check (which users have made transactions and not left feedback), I can easily do the rest and put it in my site.
