If this has been asked before, then I apologize and ask that someone point me to the relevant topic/post.

Anyhow...I'm looking for someone who may be interested in creating a FAQ hack for use with SMF 2.0 Final Release.  I have seen this one:  http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3057  ...and have commented on it.  While it's a great hack...it does not offer some important aspects a FAQ page should have.  The author of the mod seems to feel that adding "categories" just doesn't seem to be a useful aspect of the mod...and I beg to differ.

A FAQ page should be sectioned and not just a page of questions.  The mod I referred to above can be sorted by ID, Title, and date...but, what good is that if you can't categorize your questions and answers?

Admin and Global Moderators should have access to adding/deleting FAQs...as well as Categories and subcategories.  The ability to search FAQs is another plus.

Now...I'm not sure how intensive the coding would be on such a mod/hack...but, having the type of site I have could use a mod/hack such as this...and I'm sure there may be others who feel the same way.  Just assuming, mind you...

Would there be anyone interested in taking on such a task?  I'm basically looking for a "free" mod but, would be willing to donate to the individual/group who would be willing to take on this task...

Any takers?

Thanks, in advance, for, at least, reading this...and I hope to get some positive feedback.

I agree with you, I wonder if SMFHacks already had an idea like this. Smiley
