Works just like the img button, except it allows you to choose from a drop down of pics in your gallery.

Also, a check box to automatically add a pic you post to your gallery.

OMG yes.  This would be fantastic.  I have a lot of people asking me if they should post pictures to the gallery, upload them to the board (as an attachment) or both, or etc... It'd be GREAT to somehow link the two systems (the gallery and the board)

Maybe have a check box in the gallery upload form [ ] Upload to gallery and create a new post using image.

Would something like this be possible?  REALLY integrate the gallery instead of having it a completely separate entity.

Or, perhaps have a section in the gallery like the "Media Center" mod that will create a gallery from images that have been posted in the forum!!  THAT would be sweet!

There is an option to make a category when someone uploads an image to post it to a board of your choice.

I think I understand what you mean, but it would be nice if they could pick which boards they can post the image in, instead of forcing them to just one. Maybe in the admin have a list of boards and we could check off which boards they're allowed to post in.

I REALLY like the idea of some sort of interface in the post-form (in a board) where a user could select a photo they've uploaded to be used as an attachment.

Oh, hope you dont mind but I figured out a kludgy hack to integrate the media center mod into SMF Gallery:

Create a new category in Gallery and, in the title of the new category put a link to the media center's photo page. use the 'iurl' BBC code so that it doesn't spawn a new window.
