The staff there is screwed up (no offense Danial).

They act like children on a power trip. It seems they've forgotten what open source means, and what an open community is.

First, they take forever to even get a mod approved (here they are available instantly after I post them).

Second, I posted a like to my site, from which I support my work. I work on SMF mods and vBulletin hacks, and the site happens to be in vBulletin. I do have another SMF site - just not that one. The long of short of it is they REMOVED the post about my SMF MOD SUPPORT site because it wasn't an SMF board. Talk about pig headed and short sited.

I'm angry (as you can see). I disabled my mod over there, and will have to think long and hard about having anything to do with them again. They certainly don't deserve my time and skills they way they are acting lately. I will remain active here, and leave my mod active here at least for now.

Thanks for listening to my rant. I'm sure it would have only gotten deleted at SMF.org, so I didn't even bother there. My calm and inquisitive PM to the staff member who removed my topic has of course gone unanswered. I'll probably get yelled at for having the temerity to PM staff.  Roll Eyes

I should also mention that the first few modifications that I wrote where for SMF Arcade. (I will post them here after I finish typing this). SMF.org rejected them, saying they don't want mods of mods.

Geesh.

You can post all types of mods for SMF here. I normally let all mods get posted unless their is a major problem with them or they are not really mods.

We'll, I've cooled down a little Smiley I was never mad at you guy, you've been great. I still like SMF and continue to work on new mods for it. I just need to sort out my issues with the SMF team.
