Hi

Is there a way to hide say a family catagory from a friend membergroup member? I know that will not allow them to veiw it.

Yes, If you click on permissions for that category. You can select which groups to disable from viewing the category.

It blocks the person from viewing, though it still shows the Category name in the list of Categorys.

Correct it will still show in the category list.

I posted the same question recently, this would be a great MOD for me, as I have some galleries that I only want admins to be able to see.  Right now the category shows up in the index, and even though members cannot access if not part of the right group, they always ask what it's for.   If you don't have permissions to view it, the category should not show for them either IMO.
