Dazed and Semi Confused..

Hi,
I a SmF installed but I think its 1.07. I am able to get new mods and do other stuff but My page is not set up like this one. Can someone tell me if this version your using is different. I want the left column to appear on my site, is there somehing I need to change in my css?
Also I wanted to install Ad management Mod but it won't allow me to install the one I want. I want to upgrade to the 1.1rc but honestly I have no idea how to do it and maintain all my members, posts and just everthing. Is there a simple one step upgrade or do I need to start over? Actually I have no idea which one is the latest version.
I'm pretty good at reading code but I don't want to mess up and have everyone Ticked!

Its tinyportal from www.tinyportal.net which i use to make the three columns

Its a simple upgrade to the new versions. Best place for smf support is at http://www.simplemachines.org

Gamesocket- uuhh.. is that the upgrading info? where do I find the file to upgrade?
how do I upgrade? i know how to upload files but how do i upload an upgrade..i think i said that right? And will it mess up my current forum?

SMFHacks- I see the tiny portal information is it just like a mod or does it have to have site down time?

File to upgrade is found on this page
http://www.simplemachines.org/download/

You would take the 1.1RC3 upgrade pcakge unzip on your computer then FTP to your website overwriting your current smf.

I would backup your smf files first! and the database as well.

Read the upgrade documenation as well.

Tinyportal is amod for SMF you can configure anyway you want it to dispaly information like I have on this site or another way.
