Title: Gallery picture size
Post by: workmss on September 02, 2009, 12:12:54 pm
I have a featured gallery on my site home page, http://www.bflspirit.com/   the thumbnails look great, but when you click on them it opens a much larger view that is cut off so you don't see the whole picture.  Does it not automatically resize the pictures??

Now I think I need to go to the gallery configuration and set the max height/width and maybe filesize...but I really have no clue what those numbers need to be. I have left them at the default of 0 at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Stephanie

The lite edition does not automatically resize the pictures that are uploaded.

The filesize, max height, max width are limits set on the images that are uploaded into the gallery.

i am facing this issue as well..

so if i purchase the pro edition, this problem will be solved?

just to make sure i understand you, the pro version will automatically resize the picture for the viewer's screen so it will not be cut off at the side?

thanks...............

will purchase upon your reply..

Yes has built in resizing features.

You can set max display width and height.

And has the option to have a medium sized file.
So you could do thumbnail -> medium size -> fullsize

hi, thanks for quick reply.

and after auto resize, to let's say 640x480.. when the user click on the picture.. it will pop-up the larger (original) size?

is this how it works?

thanks..

Yes you can have it work that way. Has a couple different popup options or a direct link to large file.
