Suggestions / Stripe Integration
« on: February 08, 2020, 02:28:33 pm »
Stripe payment system would be a great addtion to all the mods that accept payments.

This would allow payment via credit cards for people who do not use paypal

OK. You have two registration points - one when a user registers an account with your site and one when they subscribe to paid subscriptions.

I think it best to have a choice of settings from user registration and from paid subscription - a simple check box could be done for this.

Lets take from paid subscription date - select which member group that the user has been moved to from paid subscription which this mod applies to. e.g. Paid Group one a user has paid their initial fee - we should be able to set a period of lets say 1 week or 1 month and if they still have an active subscription then they can be automatically added to a new group - lets call this DripGroup1, then after 1 week or 1 month the same user if they still have an active subscription can be added to new group DripGRoup2 and so on so that an unlimited amount of Dripgroups can be created with custom time periods between each one.

It would be good to be able to set this up for numerous Paid Groups also -so that if you have different subscription levels e.g. Basic Paid, and Premium Paid you can set up the DripGRoups separate for them.

The idea is to retain paid members longer on the forum by dripfeeding access to certain boards using groups at certain points in time during their membership.

Added a badge after a specific time period?
Or are you talking about changing membergroup after a time period?

Adding an additional membergroup after a specific time period

Would it be possible to change this so that aswell as badges a user could be added to a new group based on their registration or paid subscription date. e.g. after say 1 month of being a paid member could be added to a groupA, then after 2 months be added to groupB
