Bugs / image posted to category in forum

hi,
I first tried to get it to post full sized image into post.. this worked as expected ..(too large for page making scroll bar.
so far so good
then I unticked the Fullsize image in the settings ..
expecting it to post a thumbnail or resize image to fit display or perhaps post a link to the uploaded image
but it didn't it only reduced the quality of the image .. and kept it at full size
would it be possible to fix this problem
