update on this

if I upload less that 100 files it works ok 100+ files it returns the no category error

not sure if this is linked but when I click on a category now it displays the correct category but the links for the category address just below the main menu are not correct

upgraded to 2.1.11 and now when I upload via FTP everything uploads ok but when I go to settings - FTP and select a catagory click import files I get an error "You need to select a category upload files to." but I already selected a category. Tried with both FF 16.0.1 and IE9

worked a treat thanks for the info 

it is now back to showing the full front page in the block again

not sure if this matters as I know next to nothing about the code but would the fact I have removed the information and log in section at the top of the main page matter, someone from the SMF forums altered my index.template file to enable this

Hi would it be possible to have a download bumped to the top of the category if it is commented on, much like the way the forum works
