Here's an easy one (maybe)?  Since it's your mod...

A Tagging System badge.  Since the tagging system doesn't save user names to each tag I don't think you can do a 10, 20, 30 etc one... right?  But a simple action tag is better than nothing.

In a perfect world:

Uploading photos... admin definable... so I can make multiple badges... Uploading 10 image, 25 image, 50 images, 100, 200,  etc...

Making comments in the gallery.  Also in a perfect world... admin definable (see above).

Making ratings in the gallery.  See above.

Now... those are in order of importance.  I am not sure if Aeva Gallery saves rating history by user for example so it may not be possible to keep track of how many times they rated, etc.  In which case if just doing the action was to give a badge... that is better than nothing.  Same can be said for comments and uploading however this system would get stale real quick of all badges were given for just doing something once... hence the stepped approach like you've done with posts is always best when possible/sensible.

I am not sure what the current gallery badges are for or how they work (as I don't have your gallery installed).

I need help with the code to get badges to function with Aeva Gallery.  Photos ... comments ... and ratings.  From the little I know about how to do things in PHP... oh... who am I kidding?  I am a hack.  I can move code around ... or figure out how a menu works... or maybe even convert old style headers to curved headers... but I have NO idea WTF I am doing when it comes to accessing the SQL databases... bottom line... i looked at my first bit of code since Commodore 64 BASIC ...oh... 4 months ago when I put up my first forum!

FWIW... I am not sure if it was working or I just got it somehow but I did get a Poll Voting badge back at around 2:00PM... and I've not done any of the edits mentioned in this thread RE: Poll voting.   I can test with a new user if requested.

Another suggestion from the userbase...

Include in the post area right below the badges something to the effect of: Total Badges: xx

An indicator of how many badges a user has instantly viewable would help out the concept of the mod greatly me thinks.

Is the plan to include the edits done here in each update?  Will the next update include the location and gender edits as well?  We should probably get on the same page.  I would hate to "update" only to lose functionality already added via edits...

I do not believe the location and gender edits were present in the latest update available (I did manually add them)...

Will the same code work for 2.0.x?  (I figure I better ask now that I know that shuban is running 1.x.x)

Low and behold... fresh SMF 2.0.2 install... test forum...

All I can tell you is that the ONLY thing I have done today is install your mod.  I've done nothing else.  I've never gotten that error until the time I upgraded to 1.0.5...

EDIT: Profile-view.php has not been touched since May 17th...

Something your mod added/removed elsewhere is causing this issue.  I am 100% sure of it.  Again.  I've done nothing other than install your 1.0.5 version and the errors started up immediately after that.

That is new... I wasn't getting that error before.   There aren't as many as the other one but I'm at 25 already.


EDIT:  This is the line that is bugging out...

A master list would be nice... but one of my users suggested a dynamic list that showed what badged each user has left to earn... that would be the best case option IMHO.

Also,  the extended description should be viewable on the master list... so people know what each badge does.

What is the "combination" badge about?

Actually... it works now that the code was moved per SMFHACKS instruction.

I am doing something wrong as I just changed my location and gender and didn't get the badges.  I put the code above right under the MOBLE code in the badgeawards2.php file.  I labelled the badges Location and Gender... and action label I put "location" and "gender"... where did I go wrong?
