16  SMF Gallery Pro / Bugs / Photo strictly for registered member only displayed on "Most Viewed" on: June 25, 2007, 02:51:03 pm
I set a permission for adult pics to be viewed by registered member and it is being displayed in "Most Viewed" when not logged in.  Is there a way you could code to prevent private pictures from being displayed in "Recent Pictures" & "Most Viewed" when not logged in??

Check my photo gallery.  SMFHack, if you havent deleted my recently PM then you should have the link and be able to see the problem for yourself.  Thanks!

Thank for the reply and I am seeing it now, but I think due to new theme, it is not working as well as it should be.  Maybe I will turn it off for time being and work on it later

19  Modifications/Themes / General SMF Forum / Is there a tree link directory for SMF PRO Gallery? on: June 24, 2007, 05:16:22 pm
I would like to see the tree link for SMF Gallery just like in forum because it would help for users to know which category he is in.

See my pic gallery to see why it could be confusing...

http://www.thunderontobaccoroad.com/forum/index.php?action=gallery

Visit both category and see the subcategory, which is similar!  So if there were a tree directory link then it would help users to know which category/subcategory he is looking at.

Thanks!

SMFHack,

You said that the link to gallery should be like this:
http://www.yoursite.com/forum/index.php?action=gallery

But what about more complex code like this??

Code:
// How about the [search] button?
if ($context['allow_search'])
echo '
<td class="box" width="55" height="10" bgcolor="#CACACA"><center><a class="forumheadernavmenu" href="', $scripturl, '?action=search">' , $txt[182] , '</a></center></td>';

What do I do with Gallery link with code similar as above?

Today, I decided to go ahead and purchase SMF Gallery Pro for one of my two websites although I do not agree with paying $50 per domain name when there should be a discount for each domain name after first purchase.

After downloading the zip file, I uploaded it in my forum & install it...  I get "Installation success, you are being redirected to gallery page" and then error message came back "Unable to load the 'Gallery' template."  Not only that but the Gallery Configuration is not showing up on Admin End.

I read on some thread about possible of page existing but getting 0KB so I FTPed to my hosting and I am seeing 148KB file?  Don't know what is wrong?

Much obliged if you will please help me ASAP so I can finish this website up ASAP!
25  SMF Gallery Pro / Presales / Now I am ready to purchase licensed version but... on: June 04, 2007, 07:02:00 pm
Hello,

I am looking to buy a licensed version of SMF Gallery Pro and I am the one who posted question on this thread here: http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,567.msg3653.html#msg3653

Right now, I have main website up and running with TP and lite version of gallery at www.wildhogsheaven.com and I am now in process of adding SMF, TP, gallery 1.7.4 to www.thunderontobaccoroad.com/index.php  I am wanting to integrate the forum, registered member, and gallery to main website so we could use same database for registered member, forum, and gallery.

So the question is...  if I do buy licensed version for www.wildhogsheaven.com and our registered member want to see picture gallery or upload, how will it work??  $100 for both site even though we are using one same server???  I would rather to pay $50 for one server and let second website use the main database because that is where it is stored at...

Please let me know!  Thanks!
26  SMF Gallery Pro / Presales / 1 more question before I buy pro edition this weekend... on: February 28, 2007, 09:48:01 pm
After buying pro edition for $50, how much for upgrade fee after 1 year?  $25?

It just make sense to pay half the price to continue since you already have the full software and need only upgrade...

Thank for the speedy reply and I think I will buy your Pro edition because I am pleased with SMF Gallery Lite so far.  It worked well with SMF 1.1.2, which I am currently testing.

Password-protected would be cool! Wink

Another question Cheesy

What about subcategory?  It really helps when you have Theme as Category and then year as Subcategories just as in this forum..

29  SMFHacks.com / Site Discussion / Question about SMF Gallery (Lite or Pro) on: February 18, 2007, 11:30:44 am
I would like for guests to view certain category and when entering restricted gallery, it either ask for password (password-protected) or redirect the guest to registered page.

Why?

I host motorcycle rally event two times a year and we have some nude pictures (mostly wet t-shirts) so I would like to restrict it to members, which I will edit the register agreement to be 18 or older before clicking "I agree" then register.

So I was wondering if there is a way to allow guest to see pictures of other activities such as games, bands, vendor, campground, etc. but need to register for adult pic.
