Hi,

I have a few questions I was hoping you can answer.

1) If I were to purchase and then install the pro version, will it easily upgrade the lite version I have already been using for several months? ....It won't mess any of the photos or labeling I already have, will it?

2) Also, in the pro version, is there functionality which would allow me to order the photos in any order I want to within a specific category? (currently in the lite version, if i understand correctly, if I want a specific order, I have to make sure I upload it in the sequence I ultimately will want it to be)

thanks!
Matt

1. Yes, just unistall the lite version then install the pro version. All pictures and information is saved when you unistall.

2. That is currently not a feature of the pro version.

a few more questions..

1) when i uninstalll the lite version, you're saying that all the photos and captions are saved within my server's "gallery" folder?... then when i install the pro version the pro version looks for these photos?

2) how would I uninstall the lite version? (I guess I should back up my entire "gallery" folder before i do this in the event that something goes wrong..)

3) Is the "next"/"previous" links available within the lite version? (allowing the user to advance through photos one after the other?)

thanks again,
matt

1. Correct they are saved and not deleted and auto reloaded when you reinstall the gallery.

2. You would uninstall the gallery via the package manager.

3. The next/previous links is only in the pro version.

when i link to a page (i.e. page ), it opens in a new browser. Is there a way this link will refresh the page instead of popping open a new page?

thanks,
matt

Sorry to hijack this topic, but it's continues on in the same thread of questions and it looks like the owner is done.

We run SMF 1.1 RC3 and Gallery Lite 1.6.4.

We want to upgrade to Pro. When we do, what's the latest version of Gallery pro I should install?

I assume there is some way to actually get an older version if required?

We only offer the stable release and beta release for Gallery Pro. I would keep a copy of the Gallery Lite package as well just in case.

Are you saying I can't buy a compatible version of Gallery Pro?
