Hmm, Someone else told me the same thing.
What SMF version are you running?

It sounds like the language file isn't being loaded

Yeah you will need to edit it manually to add a link/button for custom theme.

Permissions problem
« Reply #9 on: September 17, 2006, 04:56:45 pm »
I seem to be having a permissions problem on my unix box.

Everything seems to work ok until after I upload the picture.

The thumbnail shows ok, but when I click on it to veiw the fullsize image I just get the red "X" placeholder.

When entered the url to the full size pic it stated that I did  have permissions to view it.

When I  checked the permissions via ftp I noticed that the thumbnail had chmodded to 644 but the main pic keeps getting set to 600 !! Which obviously makes it unreadable.

Any help ?

Thanks

Make sure the gallery folder has read and write permissions.

I already checked that.

It has full read/write permissions.

The thumbnail is in the same directory and works fine, it is only the full size image.

I added some code to chmod the main image to 644 if it can.
Unistall old mod, reinstall new one from this site. Data and images will remain unistall won't remove them.

Would it be possible for users to create their own subcategory ?

Where they could place all of their own poics in their own section a little like coppermine allows ?
