I've got gallery running on my SMF forum (1.1.3) and it works perfectly until i try to upload a file over a certain size, i've set the max upload to 10meg and the dimensions to 3000x3000 pixels but when i try to upload a file http://www.rystein.co.uk/Dump/new2.jpg (that is a picture of me btw) which is 568k 2272x1704 (well within the stated caps)  i get Error 500 - Internal server error, but when i connect to my server by FTP and look in the gallery directory, my file has been uploaded (repeatedly), so i'm guessing it's not a database error or something silly, i've tried renaming the file, but i'm using a hosted package and can't see the error logs..... anyone shed any light on this please ?

i know i could resize the file but that's not the point

drawflex,

First off...nice pic. Well exposed and focus is good. I am a photographer...and you did a good job.

Now please don't take this the wrong way...but is there some sort of compelling reason to load up a picture that is 3000x3000 when most peoples resolution is 1024x768 (or in my case 1200x1600)...the image is still WAY bigger than my screen...I can see your PORES Dude!   ;D

Seriously, if someone needs an image that big...just let download it through ftp...but to be placed into a gallery...why not 800x600 or 1024x768 or even 1200x1600?

Again...no disrespect...just curious.

Wally
