cant find the classifieds?

Reset your default language to english as well in your profile or the boards default language to english

not holding it- both were at >english< and i even reset them- log out- log back in- its all gone,

have to go into settings and reset to english, even tho it is on english-

If not you can copy modifications.english.php to modifications.english-utf8.php and it will appear then.

ok- did that- now when i log out and log in- i can see it- but.....
i changed ALL my "classifieds" to the word "marketplace-

now, it says marketplace in modifications.english-utf8.php-

ex:
//Begin SMF ClassifiedsText Strings
$txt['smfclassifieds_menu'] = 'MarketPlace';
$txt['smfclassifieds_admin'] = 'MarketPlace Configuration';



just like it does in regualr english- but it is not showing it on the site now- now it says clkassifieds again-

Is that the menubar? If so check all your modifications.*.php files in case.

the menubar is the only thing showing marketplace! LOL the rest is showing classifieds- will pm you the url so you can see :-)

Then you will need to also modifiy the classifieds.english.php files as well.

where do i find that to modify that to read marketplace?

hi :-)
in addition to trying to fing out the info for the previous post- i installed the package for trader rating- and it is doing the same dissapearing act as the classifieds did- so i checked, system i set to english- if i reset it to english, the trader settings link only then shows up- when i log out it is gone- i also copied the english file to the english-utf8. for the trader file like i did for the classifeds file, but that did not fix it this time-
so this link in the admin section keeps dissapearing

That's in classifieds.english.php for anything text that you want to change

The main font size for the big Classifieds word is in a <h1> tag in Gallery.template.php

dont have one- there is no file named this in default.languages, or anywhere that i can see

Oops sorry meant Classifieds.template.php

The language files are kept in
themes/default/languages/classifieds.english.php
