I see that members can edit there own classified ads, but I don't see how they can delete them.

I have a member that posted the same ad twice. I would guess they did not mean to.

checking it out as a reg. member on my own account I don't see the option for a classified ad to be deleted.

Not currently. Not sure if that would be a good thing to have or not.

FWIW - I think that allowing the poster to delete their own ads is a nessasary fix, otherwise I have to spend more time in administration mode responding to their requests that the ad be deleted.

I cannot see any downside in allowing users to delete their ads, perhaps I am overlooking something

Currently ad's can be deleted if there are no bids on the ad.

I can ad an option to allow an ad owner to delete their regardless if there are bids on the ad or not but could cause some complaints if people bid on a listing/auction then the ad owner deletes the ad.

I don't see this as a problem, untill a deal is struck to seller is in control, and if they decide for whatever reason that they no longer wish to sell or offer whatever it is the put in the ad that is their decison.

From my viewpoint the key issue is reduced maintenance burden for me, just don't have the time to be pruning the adds on a periodic basis.

This would be nice. I have listings that are completed and I really am getting busy on the site and can'rt find enough time to prune completed listings either

I see just what both sides of the coin is here on this subject .... it's something I've wanted too .... I would think Hacks you would put that on the shoulders of the ADMIN of the site who bought the product, to make that choice ... make a toggle switch in the admin section (or wherever)  turning it on or off ... you've got a clear mindset and the admin takes it 100% OFF of your plate .... just my 2cents, you've made a great mod
