Can't install Gallery Pro - 10 frustrating hours

Hi,

I did a fresh install of the latest version of PHP and Simple Machines Forum (version 1.4) on windows.  The forum set up correctly and that was fine. Then I tried to install the Gallery Pro mod and thus began a long 10 hours of trying everything imaginable to get it to work.  I know I'm doing something wrong but am fresh out of ideas.

The first time I tried to install it, the package manager told me gallery pro was installed correctly and that it would redirect me to the admin page or something. But it just sent me back to my main forum page, and there were NO links or buttons for the gallery. It was just the same forum software.  The relevant PHP pages weren't modified, and instead there was a second copy of the 'should-have-been-modified' files with a ~ character at the end, ie, filename.php~.  Bizarre!

Ultimately I ended up doing the whole mod manually. The tables are created, the folders and files are in place (the mod installer at least did that part), and I manually did the XML mods (not sure why there were 2 different XML files so I tried using both of them together).  Now I have gallery links, but if I click the gallery button I just get a bit empty white browser page. This is the URL:

I tried doing a fresh forum AND gallery install serveral times. It just won't work.

Would it be possible to get a ZIP somewhere of a fresh Simple Machines Forum installation with the SMF Gallery Pro already installed in it?  Or do I almost have this working (except for the blank gallery pages of course)..?

I use SMF and SMF Gallery Pro on windows as well.
For the white screen the first thing I would try is inside the php.ini
Set
display_errors = On

Then try to visit
http://www.londonphotographyclub.com/index.php?action=gallery
Which should then display any php errors on that page.

Aha! That did the trick. It was looking for galler.php in the sources folder but for some reason I had it in the main folder. I'm off and running now!  Thanks for the quick support.
