linking to pictures in gallery

How? The URL of the gallery page on which the picture appears doesn't work with the IMG tag.

Direct link? Html link? Or bbcode link?
And do you have some examples of the codes that you are trying to link to.

Just an embedded link with [ img] tags around it so a forum member can upload a photo into his gallery, then link to it to make the picture show up in his post.

Are you using the linking codes? You should not be using the url of the page as the link to the image

I have the image bbcode linking codes working on my gallery.
