Adding a Picture

A query Hacks, I'm not getting the relevant pic files up in sent emails just the title and also the unsubscribe icon isnt showing, in fact no graphics at all are showing in the emails. ?

Make sure that you are using the full path to the image http://www.yoursite.com/image.png

Also check if there is an option to display block images some isp's block images in the message unless you click a link or if it appears in the bulk/junk folder.

K 1 problem fixed, i missed putting in the www in the address for pic files

Icon to the right of the unsubscribe link however still wont show, i get a place card with a red dot. I tried sending some tests to my moderators and they report getting the same.

Released an updated. That second picture is the tracking image. Made the script output a transparent gif so that should fix that issue.

Hi - on testing I am also getting problems with images showing in my emails.

I have done some testing and even though I put the full path to the image (which displays ok in the WYSIWYG), when sent it strips the http://domain/ part

Also, I notice that when you insert an image and then go back to look at the source, it says,

What image url are you using in the path?
And also what browser are you using to insert the image?

The image url is http://www.alienexistence.com/images/saelogo.jpg

I put in http://www.alienexistence.com/images/saelogo.jpg and for some reason when it sends it strips the http://www.alienexistence.com part leaving the /images/salogo.jpg in the email.

Also, when I look at the source code in the editor before sending, it has already stripped the domain name.

I am using Firefox

I have just tried testing in IE and the editor doesnt show up and I get an error as per image attached.

I agree that something is still not right, I am still having similar problems in some cases. Some readers are seeing images, others cannot. I also use FF...

I've given up placing any images in the newsletters which kinda defeats the purpose of having the Newsletter in the first place. I extensively use the links but at the moment that's all I seem to be able to do with it except the monitoring facility which is quite handy.

My initial thought was that some did not have html enabled in their respective email programs but they do, in fact i have had several say that they receive "All" other html mail without a problem and this is the only one they cannot see.

Thankyou SMFHacks, the update has fixed the issues. I have sent a test newsletter and it is formatting correctly images are fixed. It also works in IE. - Cheers!!!!!!!
